After taking Litium, I had the side effect of my eyes wanting to close. It is difficult to keep them open and I have a strained look on my forehead. I have not taking the medication for three months and I still have the eye problem. I avoid driving because it is such an effort to keep my eyes open and concentrate on the road. It's as if my muscles weakened or it has become a habit or a combination of both. I just want my eyes to get back to the way they were. Any suggestions?

    • You could have developed a temporary condition called Ptosis...

This is due to the weakening of the eye muscles which elevate the eyelid...

If it becomes a chronic problem, some people opt for eyelid surgery to correct it; its a very similar surgery to an eyelid lift...

I hope your eyes will be better...
